Director James Foley knows how to get attention of the audience. His films are often emotional, but never overly sentimental. In my opinion Glengarry Glen Ross is still Folley's best work ever. But Two Bits comes very close. It is a magical film about making dreams come true. Breathtaking cinematography, touching story, great acting by Al Pacino and a score with a "wow" factor makes this a little masterpiece.
The beautiful Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio is very convincing as the widowed mom and the talented young actor Jerry Barone (very strange that this is his first and last role) is awesome.
